JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Land Status Researcher will travel to new home construction sites to collect data on the status of each construction project. He/she will then enter the data into an Excel spreadsheet and submit it electronically to the manager by pre-assigned deadlines. (Advanced knowledge of Excel is NOT required - basic knowledge is sufficient.)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of the assigned real estate market - Ability to observe and note details - Accurate data entry skills - Strong time management and organizational skills - Ability to meet firm deadlines - Ability to work independently to complete projects - Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
We are seeking a Land Status Research contractor to collect housing market data in the market of Putnam, NY.
The ideal candidate must have reliable transportation with a valid driver`s license and auto insurance. He/she must also have a reliable computer with Internet access and Microsoft Excel.
The Land Status Researcher is an independent contractor (IC). ICs are responsible for providing their own work tools, including computer with Excel and internet access, local maps, cellular phone, reliable transportation, and valid driver`s license and auto insurance. Land Status Researchers must maintain regular communication with the Regional Manager, and submit work to the Regional Manager on the deadlines outlined.
Compensation is based on the size and scope of the project, and will be paid in a lump sum following the completion of the project, upon submission of an invoice, and prorated for incomplete segments of the project. Taxes are not withheld from an Independent Contractor`s payment; the IC is responsible for payment of all applicable taxes as well as for expenses incurred in the course of the project.
The IC`s work schedule is flexible and will be determined by the IC. A sample schedule might possibly be approximately 5 hours a day for the period of approximately March 8 - April 16, 2010.
